The media reported on the Democrats' outrage over the idea of impeaching Trump

Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives expressed dissatisfaction with Congressman Sri Thanedar's attempts to impeach President Donald Trump for "abuse of authority." This was reported on May 2 by the Axios portal with reference to American congressmen.
The charges against Trump include obstruction of justice, abuse of power, bribery, corruption, and "tyranny," mostly based on the president's ironclad consolidation of power in his second term.
According to the portal, Tanedar caused discontent among his fellow Democrats because of his attempts to impeach without prior approval. Many consider his actions hasty and ineffective, and some criticize his approach to attracting support.
It is specified that four Democrats have already refused to support this initiative. Congressman Jim Hymes stressed that the leadership of parliamentarians does not take Tanedar's efforts seriously. Another colleague added that the congressman was insincere in his intentions to stop Trump and was only pursuing his own interests.
On April 29, Tanedar announced the initiation of impeachment proceedings against the American leader, accusing him of widespread abuse of power and violations of the Constitution, which, in the senator's opinion, undermine American democracy and threaten the rule of law.
Prior to that, on April 5, a member of the American Congress from the Democratic Party, Al Green, said at a rally of demonstrators called "Hands off!" that he would initiate the impeachment process against Trump within 30 days. During his speech, Green compared the American leader to the biblical Goliath, and called himself David. He stressed that the US president cannot be trusted with issues of justice and governance of the people.
