- The movement of trains of the Savyolovsky direction of the MZhD is difficult due to bad weather

Due to the worsening weather and falling trees, the movement of trains of the Savyolovsky direction of the Moscow Railway (MZhD) is difficult. This was announced on May 2 by the press service of the Ministry of Railways.
"Due to the deterioration of weather conditions and falling trees on the railway infrastructure, train traffic is difficult on the single–track sections of the Savyolovsky direction of the MZHD Competition – Bolshaya Volga, Verbilki – Savyolovo, as well as on the double—track Katuar - Lobnya," the Telegram channel says.
Work is currently underway to eliminate the effects of bad weather. Compensation buses will be organized to ensure transport links.
The passengers apologized for the inconvenience. The Moscow Railways is taking all necessary measures to restore train traffic.
On the same day, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, reported that the snow that fell in Moscow broke the 116-year-old record for precipitation. It is specified that 24 mm fell in 12 hours, which is about 40-45% of the monthly norm.
In addition, the head of Lobnya near Moscow, Anna Krotova, said that due to abnormal weather conditions, there was a power outage in the city. Many trees were also knocked down overnight. An operational headquarters has been set up to eliminate the consequences, and all city services have been put on alert.
