The military personnel of the Dnepr group reported the destruction of more than 100 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Military personnel of the electronic warfare unit (EW) of the 18th combined arms army from the Dnepr group of forces destroyed more than 100 different drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kherson region. This was announced on May 2 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

During the performance of combat missions, the fighters used the KOP-2 electronic warfare calculation. It is used to scan the airspace to detect and classify aerial objects.

"This station has destroyed more than 100 drones this year, thus we were able to disrupt the enemy's plans. This tool is called "COP-2", it is more useful to us because it can be used to intercept a video signal from an enemy UAV, thereby we will find out at what frequencies it flies, where it is located, which gives us the opportunity to effectively suppress it," said the deputy head of the electronic warfare unit with the call sign Ara..

Thanks to the work of the electronic warfare unit, reliable protection of Russian units from the line of combat contact (LBF) to the rear areas of deployment of personnel is ensured.
