- Communities for the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at two universities have been suspended in Britain

In the UK, two universities have suspended the operation of Ukrainian communities aimed at acquiring unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on Thursday, May 1, by the British newspaper Financial Times (FT).
According to the publication, the incident occurred at University College London and Lancaster University. The action was suspended during an investigation into violations of the rules of functioning of charitable communities.
The statute of the Charities Commission states that support for foreign armed forces is not charity.
"No charitable organization can legally carry out such activities," the newspaper quoted the words from the charter.
Earlier, on April 23, Alexander Konkov, an associate professor at the Department of Political Science at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, said that London would show cowardice in helping Kiev. According to him, the UK will help Ukraine only with the support of its allies, primarily France, as well as the Brussels office of the European Commission (EC) and the European Council.
