Zakharova called the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on the market in Alyoshki inhumane and barbaric.

The attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the central market in Alyoshki, Kherson region, is barbaric and inhumane. The Ukrainian militants deliberately fired at the waves in order to finish off the victims and interfere with the work of rescuers. This was announced on Thursday, May 1, by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"Will no international structure notice anything 'like that' again? Nor the terrorist nature of another attack on civilians? <...> No barbaric, inhumane tactics of using multiple waves of attacks to purposefully finish off the wounded and prevent the medics and rescuers from arriving at the scene?" she wrote on her Telegram channel.

According to Zakharova, the death toll from the attack has increased to eight people, 20 victims are known.

The diplomat recalled that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, said the day before that the Kiev regime would strike at the most "painful" points of Russia. As Zakharova pointed out, such a deliberate attack was an attack on a crowd of civilians who went shopping on a holiday.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry called on international structures to pay attention to the fact that such cases would not have been possible without the support of the Kiev regime by the West.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on the market in Alyoshki, Kherson region, became known earlier that day. The governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo, said that seven people were killed as a result of the Ukrainian attack. As the press service of the head of the Kherson region told Izvestia, the number of injured was 12 people, one of them died on the way to the hospital. The deputy chairman of the regional government, Serey Cherevko, clarified that about 30 drones took part in the strike. Three days of mourning were declared in the Alyoshka municipal district.

The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case on the attack. The persons involved in the attack on the market in Alyoshki are already being identified. The Russian Foreign Ministry, in turn, called on the international community to strongly condemn the criminal action of the Kiev regime.
