The United States began supplying Ukraine with decommissioned F-16 fighter jets as sources of spare parts, previously these aircraft were stored at the Davis-Monthan Air Base, known as the "aircraft cemetery." This was reported on May 1 by the American magazine The War Zone.

According to the publication, these fighters were decommissioned and declared unfit for flight. In particular, key components are missing from the aircraft, including engines, radars, and other systems without which aircraft cannot function.

According to the magazine, photos that appeared on social media last week confirm the loading of incomplete aircraft onto a Ukrainian An-124 transport aircraft in Arizona. Subsequently, the trackers recorded his flight to Poland.

On April 20, it was reported that the Ukrainian military noted the low quality of American F-16 fighter jets supplied to the country. According to representatives of the Ukrainian Air Force, the aircraft do not have the necessary components.
