An exhibition of captured NATO equipment has opened in Yekaterinburg.

On May 1, an exhibition of captured equipment from NATO countries called "Strength in Truth — Pride and Victory!" began in Yekaterinburg at the Mayakovsky Central Park of Culture and Recreation. The event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII).
The exhibition consists of 28 pieces of military equipment, including 16 new items that have not been shown before. The presented equipment was neutralized by the Russian military in the area of a special military operation to protect Donbass.
The exhibition was opened by Alexander Kaliberda, Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Ural Federal District. According to him, each of the exhibits is a testament to the courage of Russian servicemen.
"Touching the presented samples, you can feel how, under heavy fire, our fighters, despising fear, go forward and burn the enemy's armor. How the hopes of neo-Nazism burn together with the NATO iron. I bow low to the soldiers and commanders for their excellent combat work," he said.
The opening ceremony was attended by the head of Yekaterinburg, Alexei Orlov, and the acting Commander of the Central Military District, Lieutenant General Dmitry Glushenkov. As the organizers emphasized, last year a similar exhibition traveled through all regions of the Ural Federal District and aroused great interest among residents.
Among the exhibits are the American M1 Abrams tank, Bradley and Marder infantry fighting vehicles, YPR—765, FV103 Spartan, VAB, Saxon, Bucephalus, BTR-3U Guardian armored personnel carriers, as well as MaxxPro, Oncilla, Roshel Senator armored vehicles, Polaris MRZR, Pinzgauer all-terrain vehicles and other samples of Western military equipment..
The exhibition also includes sites with more than 100 small arms units, FPV attack drones, 10 types of drones and computer simulators for training UAV operators. There will be a mobile selection point for military service under the contract, expositions of the Museum of Military Glory of the Urals, the Popular Front, and a collection of military chevrons will be presented.
"Our exhibition was a great success last year, it was visited by almost 1.4 million people. Of course, in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, this project is of particular importance. It helps to draw parallels with the history of the Great Patriotic War, to acquaint as many residents of the country as possible with the real strength of our army and its exploits," said Vladimir Yakushev, Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia party.
The exhibition will be open from 1 to 10 May daily from 10:00 to 21:00. Admission is free.
Earlier, on November 15, 2024, it was reported that an exhibition of captured equipment from Western countries, which was neutralized by the Russian military or abandoned by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the zone of their own, was opened in Astrakhan. Guided tours for visitors are conducted directly by the participants of the SVO, awarded with state awards. They tell visitors in detail about the circumstances of the destruction and capture of captured equipment in the war zone.
