The deputy of the Rada announced the mass unauthorized withdrawal of military personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Half of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) deserted or voluntarily left the units. This was announced on May 1 by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Mariana Bezuglaya.

"Half of our army <involved in combat operations> is in the unauthorized abandonment of a unit," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

According to the parliamentarian, this situation was the result of violations of the rights of military personnel. She blamed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Nina Yuzhanina said on April 21 that amid the catastrophic losses and desertion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is urgently necessary to step up mobilization. She did not specify how to strengthen the mobilization process.
