Kiev assessed the impact of the conflict between India and Pakistan on Ukraine

The aggravation of the situation between India and Pakistan will affect the acceleration of attempts to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. This opinion was expressed on May 1 by Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, in an interview with RBC Ukraine.
"I think that <...> the war that threatens this region today will accelerate attempts to properly resolve the problem <...> [of the conflict] in Ukraine," he said.
Despite the clashes that have already taken place on the border of the two states, the official noted that the conflict between India and Pakistan is unlikely to escalate into a large-scale war.
He also stressed that both sides in this case have nuclear weapons.
Relations between New Delhi and Islamabad worsened after the terrorist attack on April 22 near the Indian city of Pahalgam in the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 27 civilians. Both countries have closed the only common open land border and suspended visas. New Delhi has also suspended the Indus Waters Treaty.
On Tuesday, April 29, Pakistani Information Minister Attaullah Tarar announced India's intention to launch military attacks on the country within 24-36 hours. According to him, any act of aggression will be met with a decisive blow.
