US President Donald Trump has forced European countries to "bow down" because of the US tariffs imposed. This was announced on May 1 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

"Close neighbors are suffering, degenerates are crying in a Foggy Albion, crazy old woman Europe is raging. They're having a hard time. We must bow down <...>," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to Medvedev, in addition to the serious problems that already exist, there has been a power outage in southern Europe.

As for China, he noted that the country's economy will withstand any pressure due to its vast resources and domestic market. The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council stressed that "Trump made a mistake on this issue."

In addition, Medvedev drew attention to the fact that the US tariffs do not apply to Russia, as the country practically does not trade with the United States.

On April 2, Trump announced large-scale measures: base tariffs of 10% are being introduced for all products supplied to the United States. For Europe, this figure has been raised to 20%. In his speech, the president called April 2 the day when Americans will become rich again.

On April 6, the European Union (EU) countries will soon present a united front against Trump's tariffs, likely approving the first set of targeted countermeasures against US imports worth up to $28 billion. On April 7, the European Commission (EC) will propose to EU members a list of American goods subject to additional measures.
