A criminal case was opened into an attack by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on residential buildings in the city of Rylsk, Kursk region. This was announced on May 1 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia Svetlana Petrenko.
It was established that on April 29, 2025, Ukrainian militants attacked civilian infrastructure facilities in Rylsk using drones. As a result, three civilians were injured, residential buildings and a kindergarten were also damaged.
A criminal case was opened into the attack under paragraphs "a" and "b" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). During the inspection of the scene, military investigators found fragments of drones and elements of explosive devices. An explosive technical examination is currently underway.
"The investigation identifies representatives of the armed formations of Ukraine involved in this crime," Petrenko said.
On April 30, the Investigative Committee opened a case on a terrorist act after the killing of an AFU woman by an FPV drone in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. It is specified that in August last year, the AFU FPV drone attacked an apartment building in the village of Pogrebki. There was a woman in the house at the time of the incident. As a result of the impact, she was seriously injured and subsequently died.
