Unknown people shot a deputy in the Kenyan capital.

Charles Ongondo Vere, a member of Parliament, was shot dead by unknown assailants in the Kenyan capital Nairobi. This was announced on April 30 by the publication Citizen Digital.

"According to eyewitnesses, the legislator was attacked by two men on a motorcycle. It is reported that one of the armed men got off his motorcycle and opened fire at close range, fatally wounding the deputy," the publication says.

Traffic police officers who were on duty nearby witnessed the shooting. The deputy himself was taken to a Nairobi hospital after being injured, but died soon after.

At present, the details and circumstances of the murder remain unknown.

On March 14, Colombian diplomat Claudia Ortiz was shot in Sao Paulo when a local policeman opened fire on robbers. According to the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she was hospitalized in stable condition. The doctors reported that the operation was successful.
