A new investor visa has been introduced in Kazakhstan, giving the right to obtain a residence permit. This was announced by the country's Foreign Ministry on April 30.

"According to the new conditions, foreign citizens who have invested at least $300,000 in the authorized capital of Kazakhstani companies or in local equity securities will be able to submit an electronic application for an investor visa," the message says.

After receiving such a visa, the investor will be able to obtain a residence permit in Kazakhstan for up to 10 years.

"The innovation reflects the country's strategic orientation towards openness, capital protection and the development of sustainable international economic ties," the Foreign Ministry said.

On March 22, U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik announced the sale of thousands of "golden visas" per day. He added that the country's president, Donald Trump, believes that the authorities can sell a million such visas. Thus, the government plans to reduce the budget deficit.
