Starting from May 2, criminal liability will be introduced in Russia for citizens who did not inform law enforcement agencies about the upcoming act of sabotage. The relevant document has been published on the official portal of legal acts.

"Amend the first paragraph of Article 205-6 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation by adding numbers after the digits "279". "281, 281-1, 281-2, 281-3", — the document says.

Thus, sabotage was classified as a crime that could result in criminal liability for failure to report it.

Earlier, on April 29, a court in Volgograd sentenced two young men to 13 years in a high-security penal colony for setting fire to cell towers and attempting to sabotage a railway station on behalf of the special services of Ukraine. After receiving the assignment, the convicts twice set fire to the base station of PJSC Vimpel Communications, which disabled the equipment. The arson attacks were recorded on video and sent to the supervisor as a report.
