UAV operators destroyed the ACS "Acacia" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the South Donets direction

The operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Vostok group of forces destroyed a vehicle belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) ACS "Acacia" in the South Donets direction of the zone of the special military operation. This was announced on May 1 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"In the Yuzhnodonets direction, the operators of the Vostok group of forces' UAV destroyed a self—propelled artillery howitzer of the Ukrainian militants 2S3 Acacia, along with the crew," the department said.

It is specified that the enemy equipment was discovered during aerial reconnaissance. Drone operators spotted how the crew was preparing to deploy a self-propelled howitzer.

"The coordinates of the target were promptly transmitted to the strike group. The first UAV strike destroyed the personnel of a combat vehicle, and with the second strike, our soldiers hit an artillery installation," the Defense Ministry said.

Crews are adapting vehicles and tactics to the changed conditions.

A day earlier, on April 30, drone operators disrupted the rotation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the South Donets direction of the SVO zone. The footage published by the Ministry of Defense also shows the moment when a Ukrainian military vehicle was blown up by a mine-explosive barrier. Russian fighters had previously mined this section of the road, having learned about the probable route of movement of the AFU equipment.
