Dust storm Hamasin hits Egypt

The Hamasin sandstorm hit Egypt with strong winds and thunderstorms. This was reported on April 29 by the Egyptian Streets portal.
"Egypt is preparing for the violent dust storm of Hamasin (translated from Arabic as "fifty") in the last days of April. The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts severe weather conditions from Tuesday, April 29, to Sunday, May 4," the publication says.
It is specified that in the coming days the country may face strong winds, dust and thunderstorms. The cataclysm will affect the north-western regions of the country on the largest scale.
The Hamasin dust storm gets its name due to the 50-day period during which nature in this region rages every spring.
Earlier, on April 14, in Iraq, more than 1.8 thousand people were injured due to breathing difficulties against the background of a sandstorm that hit the country. The disaster also disrupted operations at two international airports, Najaf and Basra.
