The survey showed the Russians' spending plans for the May holidays

The majority of Russians surveyed — 71% — plan to spend up to 15,000 rubles on the May holidays. This was announced on Wednesday, April 30, according to the results of a survey conducted by the online alternative lending service Moneyman, which I reviewed. "Газета.Ru ".

It is noteworthy that in comparison with last year, the number of those who intend not to cross the line of 15 thousand rubles increased by almost 10% — in 2024 there were 62% of those.

18% of respondents stated their willingness to spend in the range of 15-30 thousand rubles in 2025, compared with 21% in 2024. And 30-45 thousand rubles are planned to be allocated for the May holidays by only 8% this year against 11% last year.

3% of respondents will allocate more than 45 thousand rubles. In 2024, there were 6% of them.

Almost a quarter of Russians (23%) expressed a desire to relax in the countryside or in nature. 26% of the respondents reported that they would spend the holidays doing household chores. And 17% of the respondents admitted that they would work. 15% of Russians plan to spend the holidays in a sporting way. Another 10% will go on a trip. 6% intend to do repairs, and only 3% of respondents indicated other options or found it difficult to choose.

Earlier that day, Andrey Andrianov, Deputy Director General of the Association for the Development of Financial Literacy, told Izvestia that citizens should prepare in advance for the May holidays in order to avoid unnecessary expenses and not become victims of fraudsters. According to the expert, special attention should be paid to credit payments, especially if the repayment date falls on the weekend. Transfers on non-business days may be processed with a delay, which can result in fines.
