Trump called Putin a wise and cunning man

American leader Donald Trump considers Russian President Vladimir Putin to be a wise and cunning man. He made a corresponding statement on April 30 during a cabinet meeting.

"Putin is a very wise and cunning man. <...> I think we will conclude an agreement, but I cannot guarantee it," Trump said.

Earlier, the American leader had already noted Putin's positive qualities, such as his intelligence, influence and love for his own country.

On April 25, Trump said that his special envoy Steve Witkoff had a "good meeting" with Vladimir Putin in Moscow. According to him, the talks discussed the possibility of resuming direct negotiations between representatives of the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
