Corporal Alexey Sidorenko was on combat duty in the area of one of the settlements liberated by the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) in the area of a special military operation (SVO) when he noticed an enemy kamikaze drone approaching Russian positions. The Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday, May 1, reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen.

The drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as Sidorenko determined, was heading for a stronghold where Russian military personnel were stationed. With an accurate shot from his standard weapon, the corporal knocked out the drone, and it crashed to the ground and detonated before reaching the support.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the bold and decisive actions of Corporal Alexander Svyatoshenko, who was serving at an observation post and discovered an approaching sabotage group of Ukrainian militants who were secretly moving in a nearby forest plantation in the direction of Russian units. Svyatoshenko decided to attack the enemy immediately.

He chose a suitable firing position and opened fire on the saboteurs with a machine gun. As a result, the AFU group suffered significant losses of personnel and was forced to retreat.
