Zenit beat CSKA in the first match of the final of the "RPL way" of the Russian Cup

Zenit football club on Wednesday, April 30, beat FC CSKA in the first meeting of the final of the Russian RPL FONBET Cup.

The game took place in St. Petersburg at the Gazprom Arena and ended with a score of 2-0, Sport-Express reports.

Mateo Casserra scored goals for the St. Petersburg team in the 17th minute and Andrei Mostovoy (penalty kick in the 57th minute). Another goal by Mostovoy in the first half was not counted after the video review.

The second leg of the RPL Road final in Moscow will be held on May 14.

Earlier that day, Lokomotiv lost to Rostov in the Russian Football Cup match. Yellow-blue defender Nikolay Osipenko scored goals in the 27th minute and striker Egor Golenkov in the 87th. The tournament is over for Lokomotiv.

Before that, on April 29, Spartak beat Dynamo and reached the final of the Russian Cup of Regions. Spartak defender Marquinhos opened the scoring in the 14th minute, and striker Levi Garcia scored in the red and white (51). Dynamo got one goal in the 18th minute when Spartak's defender scored an own goal.
