Sergey Lavrov met with President of the Dominican Republic Luis Abinader

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a working meeting with President of the Dominican Republic Luis Abinader. This was announced on April 30 by the Russian Foreign Ministry in the Telegram channel.

"Sergey Lavrov was received by President of the Dominican Republic Luis Abinader," the statement said.

On the same day, Sergey Lavrov called the talks with his Dominican counterpart Roberto Alvarez productive. The minister also clarified that Russia and the Dominican Republic have agreed to establish ties between the business circles of the two countries.

On April 30, it was reported that Lavrov had arrived in the Dominican Republic. One of the reasons for the arrival was the opening of the Russian Embassy in the country.

On April 29, at a meeting of the foreign ministers of the BRICS countries held in Brazil, Lavrov outlined in detail Russia's principled approaches related to the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. The foreign minister also stated the need to stop the Kiev regime's practice of eliminating everything related to Russia, including language, culture, Russian media, and the canonical Orthodox Church.
