The United States will not refuse to participate in the process of resolving the conflict in Ukraine as mediators. This was announced on April 30 by US President Donald Trump's special envoy Keith Kellogg.

The corresponding question was asked to him by journalists on the air of the Fox News channel.

"I don't think so," Kellogg replied.

On April 29, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce announced that the United States would cease its participation in negotiations on the conflict in Ukraine in the absence of progress in its settlement.

On April 27, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that negotiations with the United States on the conflict in Ukraine were moving in the right direction. He recalled that the American Secretary of State, among other things, expressed the opinion that during the negotiations Washington better understood Moscow's position, as well as the underlying causes of the conflict.
