Lokomotiv lost to Rostov and was eliminated from the Russian Football Cup.

Rostov football Club on Wednesday, April 30, defeated FC Lokomotiv in the match of the second stage of the 1/2 final of the Path of the Regions of the Cup of Russia.

The game took place at the Russian Railways Arena stadium in Moscow and ended with a score of 2-0, Sport—Express reports.

Yellow-blue defender Nikolai Osipenko scored goals in the 27th minute and striker Egor Golenkov in the 87th.

The Immortal Regiment campaign was also held as part of the meeting, and after the match a patriotic flash mob was held to the song "Katyusha".

"This is a good action. We must remember and honor our history, our heroes. I dedicate my goal to my relatives who went through the Great Patriotic War, and to everyone who fought and is fighting for our motherland," Golenkov said.

After the victory, Rostov reached the final of the Russian Cup, where they will face Spartak. The tournament is over for Lokomotiv.

Earlier, on April 29, Spartak beat Dynamo and reached the final of the Russian Cup of Regions. Spartak defender Marquinhos opened the scoring in the 14th minute, and striker Levi Garcia scored (51). Dynamo got one goal in the 18th minute when Spartak's defender scored an own goal.
