- The Slovak parliament told about the invitation of the Russian Federation representatives

It would be appropriate now to invite representatives of the Russian Federation to Slovakia, vice-speaker of the republic's parliament Tibor Gašpar said in an interview with Izvestia.
"If it depended only on me, I think it would be appropriate now to invite representatives of the Russian Federation to Slovakia. I know that now, at the moment, it is almost impossible, but since I am an optimist, I hope that relations will normalize and return at least partly to the previous rut," Gašpar told Izvestia.
The politician noted that he does not intend to talk about future visits, but is interested in Slovakia returning to the previous level of cooperation with the Russian Federation, with the State Duma and deputies, and that the parties start developing relations again.
The full version of the interview will be published on May 1 at 00:01.
Vice-Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Tibor Gašpar participated in the international forum of the Union State "Great Heritage - Common Future" on April 28-29. Earlier, a group of deputies of the Slovak Parliament headed by Vice-Speakers Andrei Danko and Tibor Gašpar came to the Russian Federation in January. It was the first visit of a parliamentary delegation from an EU country to Russia after 2022.
On February 28, Tomáš Špáček, president of the Slavic Committee in the Slovak Republic, told Izvestia about the importance of cooperation with Russia. According to him, activities in the Russian Federation are important because it is the largest Slavic power. Slovakia should cooperate with Russia because this is the way to create a center of power like in Europe, China, and the United States.
