The case of an excavator hitting a child in Vladivostok was brought to court

A criminal case on hitting a young girl with an excavator was transferred to the Vladivostok court. This was reported to PrimaMedia news agency by the prosecutor's office of the Frunzensky district of the Far Eastern capital.

The incident occurred in December 2024 at a construction site on the territory of the Sports Harbor embankment. The investigation believes that the place of operation of the excavator was not fenced, and there were no warning signs, which led to the hit-and-run.

The damage caused to the victim was classified as serious. The excavator operator and the head of the construction project are charged under Part 1 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of safety rules during construction work, which negligently caused serious harm to human health."

The investigation of the criminal case has been completed. The materials were submitted to the court for consideration on the merits. The maximum sanction of this article provides for up to three years of imprisonment.
