On April 30, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called productive talks with his Dominican counterpart Roberto Alvarez.

"I believe that the talks that I had with my colleague, Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez, were very, very productive," the Russian Foreign Minister said at a press conference in Santo Domingo.

The minister also clarified that Russia and the Dominican Republic have agreed to establish ties between the business circles of the two countries.

Lavrov also shared with Alvarez the content of the discussions of the BRICS foreign ministers' meeting that took place in Brazil.
