Applications for the Design Workshop competition have been accepted in the capital

Applications for the Design Workshop competition are open in Moscow, where participants will develop souvenirs for several partner organizations, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

The participants will come up with design ideas, in particular, for Alexander Gusakovsky's Palekh workshops, which produce lacquer boxes, scarves and home decor elements. Participants will work on collections of bags, mugs and diaries.

Another customer is the Moscow cluster of video games and animation. Ideas for decorating thermoses, mouse pads, and hoodies are waiting there. A design for notebooks, badges and T-shirts will be offered for the Siberian carpet factory.

"This competition is a great chance for designers, artists, marketers and students of specialized fields to showcase their talents. They will also be able to exchange experiences and find partners for development and promotion," Sergunina said.

Applications for participation can be submitted online until May 26. The jury will select a total of 120 people. They will then be combined into teams. The concepts they come up with will be evaluated according to several criteria, including compliance with the task, originality and quality of the presentation. The final will be held in early June.

In 2024, 360 people participated in the three streams of the Design Workshop competition. They have developed concepts of souvenir products for museums, parks and the Total Dictation campaign.
