Donetsk Railway Station will start accepting commuter trains on May 9th.

On May 9, Donetsk Railway Station will start accepting commuter trains. This was announced on April 30 in the press service of the railways of Novorossiya.
"Starting from May 9, 2025, the route to Donetsk station will be extended by commuter trains from Donetsk (Yasinovataya) – Uspenskaya and Debaltseve – Yasinovataya Donetsk," according to the operator's Telegram channel.
The station has not actually been operating since 2014. The building and the adjacent railway infrastructure were damaged as a result of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
On April 10, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin announced that the restoration of Mariupol, Donetsk and Melitopol airports may require 1.5–2 billion rubles each. The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that roads in the new regions will be restored and brought to a standard condition.
