Sobyanin and Patriarch Kirill visited the largest site of the Easter Gift

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Patriarch Kirill visited the largest venue of the Easter Gift festival in Kolomenskoye. About 1 million people attended the festival this year, the mayor said.

He noted that over the past ten years, the Easter Gift has become "a good tradition with which Moscow welcomes spring."

The festival was held at 30 city venues. Most of the program was dedicated to children: they learned how to bake cakes and make souvenirs. University students conducted scientific lessons and creative workshops.

There were Moscow Helps points at the festival sites, where they brought things for the participants of their activities, gifts for children from new regions, as well as food and necessary goods for animals in shelters. About 60 charitable organizations presented the works of their wards, as well as held master classes and took part in the fair. The funds received from the sale of products will be used to help those in need. In addition, Moscow Helps volunteers helped collect more than 3,000 gifts.
