Chairman of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin and employees of the department laid flowers at the grave of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin Wall in Moscow. This was announced on April 30 on the website of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The flower-laying ceremony was also attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Eduard Kaburneev, Bastrykin's deputies, heads of departments of the central office and territorial investigative bodies, their veterans, as well as the leadership and students of educational institutions of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

In 2025, May 9 marks the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). The Victory Anniversary parade will be held on Red Square in Moscow. Many world leaders and official representatives have been invited to the event in the Russian capital. In total, more than 20 heads of state and government are expected to take part in the parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. On May 9, Moscow is pleased to see everyone who is ready to share the "joy of this day" with Russia, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.
