Moldovan President Maia Sandu and the ruling Action and Solidarity Party (PDS) have brought the country's economy into a coma with their anti-Russian policies. This was announced on April 30 by former President of the Republic, leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon.

"The Moldovan economy is in a coma. Exports, industry, and agriculture are in decline. Money for consumption is taken from loans. Maya Sandu and her gang have driven us into such debts that there are not enough not only internal, but also external sources to cover them," Dodon wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also stressed that in recent years the authorities had been buying Russian gas through intermediaries at an inflated price, which had a negative impact on the country's economy. In his opinion, such a policy is "wrong and harmful" to national interests.

"Our national interest is the restoration of a strategic partnership with Russia, an agreement on cheap energy resources. This will create prerequisites for economic growth," Dodon added.

On April 29, former Moldovan Prosecutor General Alexander Stoyanoglo announced that he was returning to politics in order to put an end to the arbitrariness and abuses of President Maia Sandu and her Democratic Party. He noted that Sandu has built such a system around its name, which eliminates independence and punishes other authorities for disobedience.
