The total amount of fines in cases of administrative offenses, which were imposed on foreign drivers for one raid of the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate, exceeded 3.1 million rubles. The press service of the department announced this in its Telegram channel on April 30.

The preventive event was held from April 25 to April 29. More than 2.6 thousand resolutions were issued against drivers who violated the law in cars with foreign state registration plates, the department said.

"The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate continues to monitor the safe participation in traffic of drivers of cars with registration plates of other states," the police stressed.

Also on this day, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Moscow region announced raids on drunk drivers on May weekends and holidays. Traffic inspectors will use the "mass inspection" method, and the work will also take place in separate groups of traffic police units.

On April 28, it was reported that the number of illegal carriers in Moscow had decreased. In the first three months of 2025, more than 1.5 thousand vehicles of such violators were moved to special parking lots. This is almost 33% less compared to the same period last year.
