Among the Russians surveyed, 49% said that a man should pay the bill on dates. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the financial marketplace <url>, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 30.

This option is more often chosen by men over the age of 35 who work in engineering and management positions, as well as women under the age of 30 from the fields of HR, marketing and education.

However, only 2% of respondents admit that a woman can pay for a date. At the same time, 17% said they split the bill in half — among them, specialists from IT, PR and finance predominate. Another 32% indicated that it all depends on the situation. Such answers were more often given by respondents with flexible schedules and freelancers who are not tied to a strict schedule and prefer an equal approach in personal relationships.

Experts also found that among women, 25% consider it normal to spend up to 5,000 rubles on a date, and 7% — 2,000 rubles. Representatives of the stronger sex have almost the same opinion.: 27% consider the optimal amount to be up to 5 thousand rubles, 8% — up to 2 thousand rubles. In addition, 29% of women and 31% of men named the preferred amount of up to 10 thousand rubles, while 17% of women and 18% of men — over 10 thousand rubles.

In addition, 22% of Russians noted that for them the amount does not play a decisive role — the main thing is to have a good time, even if it's just a walk. Among men, 16% of the respondents took a similar position, and most often these are representatives of creative professions, freelancers and young professionals.

"Thus, the data shows that the majority of respondents, regardless of gender, do not seek to make an impression at the expense of high expenses. Both men and women are increasingly choosing a moderate, comfortable communication format. For a significant part of the respondents, it is important that the first date does not turn into a financial demonstration, but remains a way to get to know each other and understand if there is potential for continued communication," the experts concluded.

Earlier, on February 13, it was reported that among the men surveyed, 38% of respondents usually bring flowers on a date, 16% come without a gift, and 25% give something only in honor of the holiday. However, 43% of Russians come to such a meeting without a gift, and 37% make surprises exclusively on holidays. This is stated in the results of a study by experts of the Humopeu wallet and the Check Index analytical resource of the OFD Platform.
