The Israeli government has asked Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria, Greece and Cyprus for help in extinguishing a large-scale fire near Jerusalem. This was announced on April 30 by Channel 12 of Israeli television.
"Israel has asked for international assistance: Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Croatia and Italy will send firefighting planes," the publication says.
Earlier, the Israel News agency reported that a large-scale fire broke out near the Mesilat Zion settlement in the Jerusalem Mountains. Subsequently, it spread to other territories: the Canadian Park, Neve Shalom, Mitzpe Harel, Highway No. 3. The fire protection service was switched to a special "Fire Strike" mode. It is announced in case of threat of loss of control over the situation.
According to the Ynet portal, 120 brigades have already been involved in extinguishing the fire. In addition, residents of several settlements have been evacuated.
It is specified that at the moment 12 people were injured as a result of the fire, including infants.
On the same day, a fire broke out at a clothing market in the center of Tbilisi. It was reported that no one was injured in the incident. In addition, patients from a nearby clinic were evacuated.
