An explosion in northern China killed a man and left two others missing.
An explosion in an apartment building in the city of Taiyuan in northern China has killed a man. This was reported on April 30 by China Central Television (CCTV).
"As a result of the explosion, one person was killed, two people are still missing. 21 people are being treated in the hospital," the article says.
After the explosion, a rescue headquarters was set up in Taiyuan City to conduct rescue operations at the scene. The cause of the incident is not specified.
The explosion in Taiyuan became known earlier that day. It was clarified that three of the victims had already been discharged from the medical facility. Firefighters continue to carry out rescue operations: they enter the exploded building and take one person out of it.
