The Basmanny Court of Moscow has arrested six defendants who stole money from participants of a special military operation (SVO) arriving at Sheremetyevo Airport. This was announced on April 30 by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.

It is specified that the defendants stole money by committing theft, extortion and fraudulent actions.

"The decisions of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow satisfied the petitions of the preliminary investigation authorities to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention in respect of [six] defendants," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that he has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months.

The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, reported on April 28 that a suspect in the theft of 480 thousand rubles intended for payments to veterans of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) was detained in Karelia, he turned out to be a 34-year-old postal worker.

According to her, the police received a message from a resident of Petrozavodsk. She said that she had not received a payment in the amount of 80 thousand rubles for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
