In the Murmansk region, a verdict was passed against the owner of the boat, who was found guilty of providing unsafe services. He was transporting passengers without life-saving equipment.

Violations were committed on the Varzuga River in the Tersk district. According to the Bi-port news agency, the man did not conduct mandatory training with the passengers and did not provide them with life-saving equipment. In addition, the defendant did not have any documents confirming the right to operate the vessel for commercial purposes. The wooden boat was in a faulty condition.

A criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers"). The shipowner was fined 20,000 rubles. The boat was confiscated for state revenue.

In the Tomsk region, on April 28, an airboat capsized on the Nyrolka River. There were five passengers on board. Four people got ashore on their own, one drowned.
