In the Khabarovsk Territory, 12 people were hospitalized after an outbreak of infection. This was announced on April 30 by the regional prosecutor's office.
It is specified that from April 21 to April 29, more than 20 people, including minors, sought medical help with symptoms of rotavirus infection. Tap water could be a possible source of the disease.
"Currently, a complex of disinfection measures is being carried out at the water supply facilities. The progress of the work is being monitored by the Vaninsky district prosecutor's office," the agency's Telegram channel says.
An inspection has also been organized, during which the activities of the resource supply organization and local authorities to provide the population with high-quality drinking water will be evaluated.
On April 17, in Samara, investigators opened a criminal case under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Performing work or providing services that do not meet safety requirements") after infecting children with an intestinal infection in kindergarten. Several minors with signs of food poisoning were taken to the hospital from a preschool.
