The expert gave financial advice before the May holidays

Citizens should prepare in advance for the May holidays in order to avoid unnecessary expenses and not become victims of fraudsters. This opinion was shared by Andrey Andrianov, Deputy Director General of the Association for the Development of Financial Literacy, in an interview with Izvestia on April 30.
According to the expert, special attention should be paid to credit payments, especially if the repayment date falls on the weekend. Transfers on non-business days may be processed with a delay, which can result in fines. Andrianov also advises to carefully plan the budget for kebabs, entertainment and shopping, so as not to spend more than planned.
Separately, experts noted a surge in fraud during the holidays.
"Scammers actively use the topics of vacations, discounts, and even tax returns," the expert said.
Andrianov recommends that those who plan an active vacation get insurance, especially in regions where the risk of tick bites is high.
