A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The air defense forces shot down a HIMARS multiple rocket launcher, four American-made JDAM guided aerial bombs and 125 aircraft-type drones.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 662 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 54493 unmanned aerial vehicles, 605 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23094 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1554 multiple rocket launchers, 24263 guns of field artillery and mortars, 34773 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
