The Sretensky Monastery Choir, with the support of Rosneft, will perform on May 4 at the Vorobyovy Gory observation deck in Moscow with a concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
According to the information and advertising department of the oil company, guests will be able to watch the new musical program "Dedicated to the Great Victory." The best works of the war years will be performed, including "Katyusha", "Holy War", "From the Heroes of olden Times", "Roads", "Farewell of the Slavs", "Darkie", "We need one victory" and many others.
The production was based on real stories about the fates of soldiers who passed during the war from Moscow to Berlin. The stories about them are intertwined with the music and poetry of the war years. Admission to the concert is free.
Rosneft has been supporting the Sretensky Monastery Choir since 2015. Among the productions realized by the musical group of the past years are "The Unholy Saints", "The Romanovs", "Russia: Time, forward!", "Masterpieces of World Culture", "Life", "Songs of our Parents".
According to the company, "the new joint project of the Sretensky Monastery Choir and Rosneft is designed to preserve the memory of the heroic events of the Great Patriotic War."
The Sretensky Monastery Choir is one of the most famous musical groups in Russia. This year, the men's choir celebrates its 30th anniversary.
