Soldiers of the 51st army of the DPR practiced their skills in fighting drones

Military personnel of the 51st Army of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) practiced counter-UAVs (UAVs) skills together with volunteers and instructors. This was reported on April 30 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
"One of the ways to counter drones on optical fiber is some kind of small [means] of air defense. And since smooth weapons are not familiar to our fighter, the idea arose that since we are athletes, we have some skills, why not share them," said Anna Tarasova, the Russian champion in practical shooting.
As correspondent Alexander Safiulin clarified, as part of the training, the soldiers of the 87th regiment and the 1st Slavic Guards Brigade fired at plates from the back of a pickup truck, and after they practiced their skills while driving on FPV drones.
On April 9, it became known that Russian railway soldiers began practicing the fight against UAVs. Standard small arms, smoothbore weapons, and anti-aircraft artillery installations, which are placed on special armored trains, are used to destroy drones.
