Cars priced up to 3 million rubles have become the most popular among Russians

In April 2025, Russians were most often interested in new cars in the price segment from 1.5 million to 3 million rubles. The experts of Avito Auto told Izvestia about this. Analysts explained that in this price range there is a wide range of models of different classes: from compact budget to spacious crossovers.

The share of cars worth 1.5–3 million rubles in the interest of Russians on the platform was 50.1%. The top five most popular models in this segment are Lada Vesta, Haval Jolion, Moskvich 3 and two Chery models: Tiggo 4 Pro and Tiggo 7 Pro Max.

New cars for $3-5 million accounted for 23.5% of user interest. The top 5 most popular models are exclusively from China: Geely Monjaro, Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max, Haval F7, GAC GS8 and Geely Atlas. Cars worth less than 1.5 million rubles attracted the attention of 13.1% of the audience. The leaders here are four Lada models (Granta, Niva Legend, Granta Cross and Niva Travel), as well as Kaiyi E5.

Experts called an interesting trend the fact that over the past year the supply of premium segment cars worth more than 5 million rubles has increased significantly.

The share of cars more expensive than 7 million rubles in the interest was 8.4%. The most popular models in this category are the Mercedes-Benz AMG G-class, Tank 700, LiXiang L9, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Tank 500. Among the cars in the 5-7 million rubles segment (5% interest), the leaders are the Exeed VX, Voyah Free, Haval H9, LiXiang L6 and Geely Monjaro.

Families with a child will be able to save 20-35% of the car price.

Earlier that day, it was reported that according to the results of the first quarter of this year, the average discount that official dealers are willing to provide to the buyer of a new car for loan processing, insurance and trade-in reached 21%. In general, offers that reduce the final cost are available for 91% of dealer ads.

The day before, it became known that according to the results of the first three months of 2025, the stocks of new passenger cars in warehouses in Russia remained virtually unchanged and amounted to about 500 thousand units. In the first quarter, sales of new passenger cars in the Russian Federation amounted to 247 thousand units, during the same period 256 thousand new cars were imported into the country.
