Alexander Kharlamov resigned as CEO of Torpedo HC

Alexander Kharlamov has left the post of CEO of Nizhny Novgorod hockey club Torpedo due to the expiration of his contract. This was announced on the club's website on April 30.
"It was a great honor for me to be part of a professional team that worked for the benefit of the club and the entire hockey family of Nizhny Novgorod. We've been through a lot, and we've managed not just to survive, but to become stronger... Nizhny Novgorod deserves great victories — and I believe they will definitely come. I thank everyone for their trust and support along the way, and I wish the club victories and new achievements," he said.
The outgoing CEO also expressed gratitude to the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, the government of the region, partners, coaches, players and employees of the club, as well as fans. Torpedo, in turn, thanked the head for his contribution to the club's development.
Kharlamov has served as CEO of Torpedo since 2019. Under his leadership, the club's own revenues increased, and the Torpedo-Gorky team of the All-Russian Hockey League (VHL) was revived. In addition, under Kharlamov's leadership, the Nizhny Novgorod club was able to become the winner of a large number of sports awards.
The day before, the CSKA hockey club stopped cooperating with the coaching staff headed by Ilya Vorobyov. The HC press service clarified that the decision was made due to the failure to fulfill the task assigned to the main team for the 2024/25 season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) championship.
