A criminal case was opened in Krasnodar against a stand-up comedian.

A criminal case was opened in Krasnodar against a stand-up comedian after a religious joke. This was reported on April 30 in the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory.
"As part of the investigation of a criminal case initiated based on materials provided by the FSB of Russia in the region, a 26-year—old man has been charged with hooliganism motivated by religious hatred," the department's Telegram channel reported.
They pointed out that in December 2023, the accused, while in a public institution, publicly expressed offensive comments on religious topics in his speech on a humorous show.
"During the interrogation, the accused confessed his guilt and repented of what he had done, and a preventive measure was imposed on him in the form of house arrest," the ministry said.
The complex of necessary investigative actions continues to be carried out in the criminal case.
Earlier, on July 17, 2024, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case in Moscow against a blogger who trampled on a Christian cross in a video. According to media reports, we are talking about a trash streamer originally from Dagestan, which was watched by about 300 viewers. It was reported that after a public outcry over his act, the blogger recorded a video with an apology.
