A court in Voronezh sentenced a man to 22 years in a penal colony for child abuse


The court sentenced to 22 years in prison a man who beat two children of a cohabitant and committed crimes against their sexual integrity. This was announced on April 30 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the Voronezh Region.
"A local resident was found guilty of committing three crimes under paragraphs "b" of Part 4 and paragraph "b" of Part 5 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code ("Violent acts of a sexual nature") and paragraphs "a, d" of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code ("Torture")," it follows from messages published on the website.
It is specified that from December 2021 to July 2022, a man in rented apartments committed violence against the children of his cohabitant. In addition, for several months in 2023, he beat them with a wooden stick and his hands. The minors reported the crimes to their mother in August 2023, who subsequently contacted law enforcement agencies.
The court sentenced the perpetrator to 22 years in prison with the deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to work with children for a period of 15 years. In addition, 2 million rubles were recovered from the convict in favor of the victims for moral damage.
Earlier, on April 17, a man who raped his 27-year-old daughter while intoxicated was sent to a pre-trial detention center (SIZO). The defendant will remain under arrest for two months. It was clarified that the defendant had previously been convicted of murdering his own wife.
