The "Dome of Donbass" thwarted the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on residential buildings in Donetsk

The Dome of Donbass air defense and electronic warfare system prevented an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on residential buildings in Donetsk. This was announced on April 30 by the Office of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

"The Donbass Dome system prevented a terrorist attack by a Ukrainian UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle. - Ed.) on residential buildings on the outskirts of the Kievsky district in Donetsk," the report says.

It is specified that as a result, Russian servicemen intercepted a Mavic 3 copter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which carried a high-explosive explosive charge with damaging elements. Explosives experts from the FSB of the Russian Federation in the republic moved the drone and ammunition to a safe place and eliminated it with an overhead charge.

The fighters will have the opportunity to prepare in advance to repel an air raid.

On April 27, the Russian Federal Security Service for the DPR reported that the Dome of Donbass system had intercepted 258 Ukrainian UAVs in a week. It was clarified that the drones were intercepted in the skies over Donetsk, Makeyevka and Gorlovka. In particular, near residential areas of Gorlovka, the system suppressed a Darts aircraft-type drone with a live charge, as well as an FPV drone with an improvised explosive device.
