Elizaveta Skorodumova, cardiologist of the neurological department of the I.I.Dzhanelidze Research Institute of Emergency Medicine, told about this on Wednesday, April 30.

According to the cardiologist, if a person has signs such as jaundice of the skin and eyes, pain in the right hypochondrium, swelling, fatigue, nausea, then this may indicate liver problems. She warned that alcohol is strictly contraindicated in such cases.

Another alarming call, the doctor called symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations and swelling of the legs, which may indicate heart disease. In this case, alcohol can lead to serious complications.

"If you have gastritis or ulcers, alcohol can worsen your symptoms and slow down the healing process. Symptoms include abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. In addition, alcohol can affect blood sugar levels, so it is important to avoid drinking it with diabetes, especially in large quantities," Skorodumova explained in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

The cardiologist recommended paying attention to frequent urination, increased thirst, and fatigue.
