An inspection is being carried out on the fact of clay leaking out to roll back the workings at the Sheregeshskaya mining mine in the Tashtagol municipal district. On April 30, the Prosecutor's office of the Kemerovo region — Kuzbass informed about this.

"On this fact, the regional prosecutor's office has organized and is conducting an audit of the implementation of industrial safety legislation, and a criminal case has been initiated," the agency's website says.

It is specified that at 8:15 Moscow time, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated 234 people from the mine due to the pouring of clay mass into the mine workings. The prosecutor of the city of Tashtagol, Andrei Braiko, went to the place to conduct an inspection.

A criminal case was opened into the incident under Article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities"). The results of the audit have been taken under control.

Earlier, on April 15, a rock collapse occurred in the Sadkinskaya mine, located in the Rostov region. At the time of the collapse, there were about 75 workers in the mine. They were brought to the surface in satisfactory condition.
