The annual Fire of Memory rally has started in Moscow. in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. This was reported on April 30 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

This year, the campaign is held under the slogan "The way to the native harbor." The route will cover more than 2,500 km and will pass through Moscow, Tver, Novgorod, Pskov, Leningrad Regions and the Republic of Karelia. It is specified that participants will be able to meet with veterans and visit more than 40 places of military glory.

"In total, more than 25 celebrations will be held along the route. Also, on May 2, at 12:30 in the city of Sosnovy Bor, Leningrad region, a Memorial Flame will be opened at the memorial to the Baltic Wars, which we will bring with us," said Sergey Ignatiev, the main organizer of the race.
